The Memorial Health Care Systems Auxiliary is an organization comprised of women and men dedicated to the continued improvement of the System and betterment of health care services to the community we serve.
The Auxiliary supports MHCS through a variety of volunteering efforts, fund-raisers, and projects. Volunteering opportunities for members include assisting in the assisted living unit, one-on-one time with patients, reading, baking, sewing and many more possibilities. Members can also participate as clinic greeters, volunteering at the county immunization clinic, or one of the many other events sponsored by the group. Annual events that the auxiliary assists with include: spring and fall bazaars, the annual golf tournament, the MHCS Health Fair, Valentine's Day Cake Sales and community wellness programs.
Through the efforts and volunteer hours of the auxiliary members, they have been able to provide MHCS with many gifts including labor and delivery room furniture, cardiac rehab equipment, an aviary, patio furniture, surgical chairs, visitor recliners, burp cloths to new mothers, landscaping funding, along with monetary gifts.
The Auxiliary strives to strengthen its volunteer efforts. We invite people interested in joining our team of volunteers to contact MHCS at (402) 646-4677 or any auxiliary officer. Volunteer training is available if you desire.
